Free seamless PBR textures

Any tile on tilejar can become a PBR material. Open one, set the relief, roughness, metallic and glow, look at it on a sphere, a box or a plane, and download a ZIP of maps. It is free and CC0. The maps are made in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

These are abstract, stylized materials for Blender, Unity and Unreal: decorative surfaces, not imitations of wood or stone. The height comes from the brightness of the tile, so the relief is a look, not a measurement.

What is in the ZIP

Base color, height, normal (one OpenGL, one DirectX), roughness and metallic, plus emissive when something on the tile glows, and a text file that says where each map goes. The maps have the size of the tile, 512×512 or 512×887, and repeat without a seam.

Using the maps

Blender

Base color into Base Color of the Principled BSDF, roughness and metallic into their inputs as Non-Color, and the OpenGL normal through a Normal Map node.

Unity

Turn sRGB off on the linear maps and mark the OpenGL normal as a normal map. The Standard and URP Lit shaders read smoothness from the alpha of the metallic map, so invert the roughness map into it.

Unreal

Turn sRGB off on the linear maps and use the DirectX normal with the Normalmap compression setting.
