A background should sit behind the text, not in place of it. This paragraph lies on the tile at its true scale — if it reads without effort, the tile can go under content.
Vivid violet ground carries interlocking rings of hot red, orange and cyan, outlined in thin olive-green lines, with small star-like rosettes and rounded hexagonal cells set between them. Clusters of flame-edged medallions alternate in a staggered grid, so the repeat reads as a diagonal lattice of bright rosettes linked by open violet cells.
