A background should sit behind the text, not in place of it. This paragraph lies on the tile at its true scale — if it reads without effort, the tile can go under content.
Purple ground carries green outlined motifs: square-cornered medallions, heart-like lobes and looping curled shapes arranged in a grid, with a small rounded square at the center of each repeat. Rows of blocks and flanking leaf-like forms alternate across the page, creating a steady, diagonal-leaning rhythm from one repeat to the next.
