A background should sit behind the text, not in place of it. This paragraph lies on the tile at its true scale — if it reads without effort, the tile can go under content.
Turquoise starburst blooms and triangular clusters of amber, gold and teal scales sit on a deep maroon ground, with small ring-like motifs nested between them. Bright star centres repeat in staggered diagonal rows, so the eye reads a lattice of interlocking triangles that drifts across the page.
