A background should sit behind the text, not in place of it. This paragraph lies on the tile at its true scale — if it reads without effort, the tile can go under content.
Rainbow gradients of magenta, violet, red, orange and yellow-green flow across the tile, with concentric ringed medallions set in a four-square grid around a blue central motif. The repeat reads as a steady, evenly spaced lattice of rounded square blocks, with each medallion echoed in every tile and the lighter speckled dots adding texture.
